Description

Here at long last is my official Metroid game. It surpasses my old game, Metroid Flashback, by leaps and bounds. The story takes place after the events of Metroid Fusion. One thing I didn't like about Fusion, and other fans would agree too, was that they completely changed Samus' design and made it appear to be a permanent. Well, I figured out a clever way to get rid of it. But don't worry Fusion suit fans, just play the game, that's all I can say. One thing you may hate or love about the game is that I didn't put a ton of Metroid music in it. I did not want my new planet to feel like a planet Zebes clone. I feel the music fits nicely in the game. There's Metroid music of course, it is just not dominant. I think it balances out well. This game features 9 levels and 8 bosses. There are several classic bosses, but the majority are original monsters created by me. The game takes a little over 3 hours to complete when you know where everything is at. Speaking of which, I also made a player's guide for this game. I believe this is a first on this site. I have never seen one for any other game on Zelda Classic. I'm not talking about a Word or Notepad document either. My player's guide has artwork (by me), screenshots, maps, and more. Be sure to check it out, even if you beat the game without it. There might be hidden things you overlooked. I hope you enjoy this game and the player's guide.

Story

During Samus' last mission in the B.S.L. Research Station, she faced the X-parasites,
as well as the SA-X, a clone of her at full power. The X's only weakness were the Metroids. Samus was able to combat them because she was injected with Metroid DNA after being nearly killed by a X parasite. This gave her the ability to absorb the X for power. In a last ditch effort to destroy the X-parasites and the SA-X, Samus reprogrammed the BSL stations's path so it crashed into the surface of SR388. Before reaching her ship, Samus encountered an
Omega Metroid that the research station was breeding. It was about to kill her when a SA-X
appeared to fight it. With the Metroids being the X-parasite's natural predator, it knocked aside the SA-X easily. Desperate for energy, Samus absorbed the SA-X, assuming that it was the weakened one she fought earlier. With her Ice Beam restored, she defeated the Omega Metroid and escaped. However, absorbing the SA-X was a mistake. It was not the weakened one that Samus had fought earlier. While Samus was on her way to Headquarters to face trial for her disobedience, the SA-X parasite inside of her started attacking her body and suit internally. The SA-X died in the process, but it destroyed all of the Metroid DNA in her body and suit. Samus is now vulnerable to the X-parasite once more. Samus is now searching
to find a way to revive the Metroids. Samus is traveling to planet Zohoc, where the
Metroids were rumored to originate.

Hints and/or Cheats

All hidden things in Metroid V: Rebirth are revealed in the Player's Guide. However, here are detailed ways to find the secrets of my last game, Metroid Flashback:

Metroid 2 Alt. Last level:
From your starting point in Brinstar, go right 2 screens, up 1 screen, right 1 screen, and then down 2 screens. Shoot the Plasma Beam downward from the entrance to this room to open a path. In the room below shoot the stone head's teeth with the Plasma Beam to access an elevator. When you enter the new level, go down the right path. In the screen just below, use a Bomb to access the shaft that leads to the Queen Metroid. Use Bombs on the Chozo statues in this area to find the Super Missiles and Spazer if you haven't already got them in Tourain.

Super Metroid Alt. Last level:
From your starting point in Brinstar, go left one screen, down one screen, and right one screen. Shoot the lower part of the right wall with a Super Missile to open a new path to an elevator. When you defeat the Giant Kraid, go all the way to the bottom of the screen below. Shoot the right wall with a Super Missile to find the Space Pirate that guards the Phazon suit.

The Original Final Boss:
This is what the final Mother Brain battle was going to be. From your starting point in Brinstar, go up 1 screen, right 1 screen, and then up 1 screen. Bomb the right wall to access this battle.
